“Oh the freedom and love you can experience once you let yourself be exactly as you are in the presence of an all-knowing, all-present, generous, and loving God.”

Meet Shannon

Shannon Jernigan helps people cultivate awareness of God’s love and movement while also discovering themes or issues they may need to work through. She is passionate about seeing people released from negative patterns or strongholds and living their best lives relationally, physically, financially and spiritually. Appointments are available in a private office or via video or phone conferencing.

Shannon has over a decade of pastoral care counsel experience, serving primarily in her local church and at Christ Health Center. She received her Masters in Spiritual Direction from Richmont Graduate University. She has studied healing from anger, shame and addiction under Dr. Paul Hegstrom’s Life Skills International and has been trained in Advanced Sozo, a form of healing prayer. Shannon employs contemplative and interactive tools and engaging exercises to help people find freedom.

Shannon ministers from a Judeo-Christian worldview and gladly welcomes sessions with persons outside of that faith perspective. Her work is grounded in church history, theology, secular counseling technique models, The Holy Scriptures and authentic, personal spirituality.

Shannon has been married to David since 1996 and they have two teenage children who provide her with masters-level training in humility and trust. She is a member of The Evangelical Association of Spiritual Directors (EASD) and abides by the code of ethics set forth by EASD.
